His researches have been concerned with the characterization of specific virus-induced tumour antigens, which were the "finger-prints" left behind in human cancer. Achievements include patents in field; discovery of Respiratory Syncytial Virus in infant deaths in Naples and of tumor liberated protein as a tumor associated antigen, 55 kilodalton protein overexpressed in lung tumors and other epithelial adenocarcinomas.

Dr. Nadeera is a Ph.D. in Immunology and Virology from University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, making her perfect to develop the product with an in-depth knowledge. She has worked with prestigious international research organizations like International Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology. She is a subject matter specialist having strong contacts with the health community in USA, Chile, India and Sri Lanka.

Her researches are associated with Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology. She is mainly focused on technology for vaccination and immunization monitoring.

He is interested to understand the role of various lymphocyte subsets, particularly at local pathological sites in disease pathogenesis. He is keenly focussing on local immune response among patients with chronic intracellular infections (tuberculosis, leishmaniasis, leprosy, HIV-Tb), rheumatoid arthritis and transplant patients.
